Music-making and cooking have a lot in common:
You begin by choosing ingredients according to your taste. How will you combine these ingredients? What are you creating?
In partnership with community organizations focused on food access and nutrition education, Thread Ensemble is creating music with people based on their experiences and memories with food and recipes. Drawing on all the senses, this project provides a way for people to direct and "play" with improvised music by choosing the ingredients and influencing the product.
